As we brought new life to this historic building, we wanted to honor both its character and the city around it. This bas-relief mural was designed to feel as though pieces of Pensacola’s history had been uncovered beneath layers of old plaster, revealing stories from the city’s past. Each carved detail pays tribute to the people, places, and traditions that have shaped Pensacola, from the Blue Angels and Five Flags to iconic local landmarks and the rich blues music heritage of the Belmont-DeVilliers neighborhood where the coffee shop is located.
